You Know What?
Annual showcase of final year GD students
Every year, the senior batch of Graphic Design presents their work done during their three years at NID. This time we decided to use this opportunity to not just exhibit, but also celebrate graphic design through our work.

Our identity concept revolves around the idea that our design process isn’t just a journey from question marks — signifying inquiry, research, and introspection — to exclamation marks, representing discoveries, creations, and innovations. It's more than just two endpoints; it's a continuum of question marks, commas (pauses), full stops, and more, a perpetual journey. Despite the depth of thought and effort poured into our work, it often gets dismissed with remarks like, 'Graphic design students have too much free time,' or 'What do they even do?' So, to answer these misconceptions, we’ve titled our exhibition 'You Know What?'.

Centered on answering questions, our exhibition adopts a conversational approach. To convey this tone, we shaped our identity using speech bubbles, fostering an interactive and engaging atmosphere for our visitors.

It was necessary to create guidelines so that consistency is maintained when the branding is used in creating collaterals. We made sure that all of us being designers would get a little freedom to experiment, while the identity still looked the same.
To execute this, we did not fix a specific way to design things, but just some specific colors, typography and the idea of the identity to be maintained consistent throughout, in short we decided to keep the identity 'dynamic'.
